To ensure the supply of coal for power generation during this year’s peak summer demand period, railway capacity will continue to be tilted toward coal transportation this year. Leveraging the newly added capacity resulting from speed increases, we will strengthen transport organization, improve unloading efficiency, and raise the standard of unloading operations. The Ministry of Railways has instructed all relevant units to closely monitor vehicle disassembly and reassembly operations, with stations required to achieve rapid disassembly, quick retrieval, and prompt delivery, thereby accelerating vehicle turnover and effectively implementing measures to prioritize the transportation of coal for power generation. Following the sixth large-scale speed increase and timetable adjustment in the railway system, a batch of new technological equipment—including high-power Harmony-type locomotives and 70-ton heavy-duty freight cars—has been put into operation, significantly boosting coal transportation capacity on certain railway lines.
